A family story
For over 800 years, the Bois-Brinçon estate has been intimately linked to the history of the Anjou vineyards.
Owned by several families over the centuries, it was acquired in 1891 by the Cailleau family, who have since perpetuated their passion for winemaking. Today, Géraldine and Xavier Cailleau welcome you to this place steeped in history, where heritage, nature, and conviviality come together.
The first gîtes opened their doors in 1987, thanks to the initiative of Marie-Paule and Jean, with the aim of sharing the gentle way of life in Anjou at the heart of the family vineyard.
A historic vineyard
The winemaking history of Bois-Brinçon dates back to 1219, when land was planted with vines at the instigation of the Chapter of Saint John the Baptist of Angers. Over the centuries, the estate has become one of the emblematic vineyards of Anjou, a testament to expertise passed down from generation to generation.
A committed family
In 1991, Xavier took over the family estate before being joined by his wife, Géraldine. Together, they developed the vineyard, converting it to organic farming in 2006 and then to biodynamic farming in 2009, with respect for the terroir.
Since 2024, Léandre and Matisse have joined the family business and brilliantly contribute their energy to the daily operations.
Committed to preserving their environment, they also implement various initiatives to promote biodiversity and respect their terroir.

Staying at Les Demeures de Bois-Brinçon means living at the rhythm of the estate. Surrounded by vineyards, the cottages invite you to discover a living heritage, meet the winemakers, and share their passion during a visit or a tasting of the wines produced on site.
